My name is Jane, and I am a qualified person-centred and integrative counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or life transitions.
My approach combines person-centred therapy with integrative techniques, allowing me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs. If you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with self-criticism, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, counselling can provide a safe and confidential space to explore what you are going through.
My Journey
Both personally and professionally, I understand how powerful that inner critical voice can be — the one that can make you feel hopeless, helpless, or not good enough. Further Qualifications in 2025:

Experience
I currently work with a local charity in Hull, providing counselling for people experiencing mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, self-harm, and addiction. I also support individuals facing long-term unemployment through a programme linked with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
In addition, I volunteer with another charity supporting clients who have experienced abuse, including domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, and childhood trauma.
Earlier in my career, I worked in schools supporting children with learning difficulties, and in retail where I trained and supported staff and assisted with back-to-work programmes to help people gain workplace experience.
Through these roles, I have developed a deeper understanding of both myself and others, which continues to shape the way I work as a counsellor.
